Sources

We love our sources, and appreciate their loyalty to the site. As a blog “curtain call” to them, we present to you:

- On November 11th 2008, our sources told how the Marlins would align their defense for the upcoming season.

- On December 30th 2008, we shot down the (at the time) popular Hanley Ramirez to the Red Sox rumors.

- On July 31th 2008, we were the first to report Mike Stanton being the holdup in the Manny Ramirez to the Marlins trade talks. David Samson denied this for months until just recently admitting on a local radio show that Manny was available to the team, and that Mike Stanton was the holdup.

- On May 24th 2009, we were the first to report that Matt Cain was being dangled by the Marlins and that the Fish were shopping around Dan Uggla. Juan Rodriguez reported the exact same things 4 hours after us.

- On July 30th 2009, around 2:30 p.m. we reported exclusively that the Marlins were going hard after Nick Johnson and that he was their main target. Almost 24 hours later, Nick Johnson donned the Teal and Black….

While we strain our triceps on a daily basis patting ourselves on the back, this page isn’t for that purpose. Rather, this is to explain to readers that our sources match up pound for pound with those of Ken Rosenthal, Buster Olney, and the rest in the business.
