Not to say it was, but damn, all the signs point to it, no?
- Seth Petruzelli admitted after the fight that even he didn’t think he hit Kimbo square in the face. (“It didn’t feel too flush,” Petruzelli said of the first punch that apparently didn’t even need to land squarely to fell Kimbo.)
- Kimbo is notorious for the street fighting video in which he drops his hands and lets his opponent wail at his face, only to laugh and smile and then proceed to pummel him some more. How does one explain Kimbo being the best shape of his life, and then dropping to the ground like a sack of shit after 1 soft punch?
- Kimbo cares about money first, second, AND third. Every other incentive is a clear fourth option for him. Knowing that, would it be a surprise to anyone if Kimbo was offered an off the table deal (say from a UFC purist) to throw the fight and look bad doing it?
- Obviously, the counter argument to that, would be ‘Why would Kimbo throw the fight for a pay day, and lose out on all the pay-days of future fights?’. And the only rebuttal we can come up with is that Kimbo and his handlers knew he wasn’t ready for elite MMA, and might never be. They didn’t expect James Thompson to be one elbow away from winning the last fight, and perhaps they knew, that after this Shamrock fight (and possibly in the Shamrock fight itself,) Kimbo would be exposed in a way that would render all future fights and pay days neglible. If thats the case, and no one would know it better than Team Kimbo, then it would make sense to take this deal, and cash out in a way that wouldn’t have been possible had Kimbo lost on his own (which was a possibility).
* Even if you don’t agree with the finality of the statement, do your best to take off your “I hate Kimbo, I’m an MMA purist sunglasses” off and think about this. We’re not saying its so, but would it surprise ANYONE, if the fight was fixed, given that Kimbo fights for money first and reputation a distant second?
Who cares if it was fixed? Either way, he’s a superfraud.

oh sure, but not the way he has been portrayed as in the hours following the fight… there’s a big difference between him not possessing the ability to fight on the ground with ju-jitsu artists, and him losing to a pink haired bum…but there’s no way the real Kimbo loses to this clown unless there are more sinister actions involved…

First off, kimbo did 10 yrs in prison! No mixed martial arts fighting can beat 10 yrs in the pen!!!!! I watched this man let a dude , that compared to the average person is huge, pound on his face and he didnt even flinch!!!!!! So they actually think i gonna belive that some dude with pink hair is gonna knock a big, ex con, gorilla IN 14 SECONDS!!!!l?? Give me a break!!! Kimbo Slice… motherfucker went down with one punch to the eye…his opponent went after him when he was down and DID NOT connect one punch. Watch the video, he was punching Kimbo “Slice of cheese” with the side of his fist. Who the fuck hits this way!!! This fight was fixed. I don’t care why it was and why would Kimbo do it but it was…WATCH THE VIDEO…..

Honestly I got mad respect for Kimbo. Most of you strokes posting on these sites have no clue wha the city streets are like. Or how most people end up growing up on them. Kimbo was able to turn nothing into a whole lot of something. And for the moron who said he disgraced his whole family that is crap. Disgracing his family was what he did when he was in prison. i just want to say to all you guys still riding IT….. kimbo is an embarrasment to the sport of mma. all you got to do is take the time and watch all of his youtube fights and you will see that in two different fights he gets jabbed in the chin and falls. (not including the gannon fight that he lost anyways.) everybody better watch the fight again because at the right angle you can see that punch connect in the chin. (not the eye) then you cant see the 3 or 4 punches that hit him in the eye. i can go on and on and on about this chump but all im really trying to say IS FIND A NEW COMIC BOOK HERO AMERICA. Wow. Um, where to start?
1) Kimbo’s never been in jail.
2) Seth is no bum. Not world class but no bum. His specialty is striking. When Kimbo was learning football Seth was studying Karate (that’s striking with hands and feet for the youngins). the only thing that got him as far as he got on TUF was his striking from angles most Americans weren’t used to seeing.
3) On the other hand, Seth already admitted the fix was in. He said he had planned to take Kimbo down and sub him out (which would have also taken seconds), but EliteXC/CBS “hinted” that it’d be worth his while to stay standing (the only place Kimbo even had a hairball’s chance) but now’s he’s redacted all of that without realizing it was broadcast to the world in MP3.
4) Punching with the side of the fist? While not the safest way to punch, the shoulder torque generated is mind-boggling for ground fighting. Just ask Fedor Emelianenko.
The article here is absolutely, um … wow. I guess I can see where you’re coming from, but with the actual verbal confession of bribes from the other side it just doesn’t make sense. Unless they used the bribing of Seth to convince Kimbo to take the fight? He didn’t agree till about 8pm or so, knowing it wouldn’t be a cakewalk like Ken. But why take such an embarrassing dive, instead of stall it out with clinch work and his superior upper-body strength and lose a decision?
Another question is whether or not Ken tried to hold them up for more money when they “hinted” he should stay standing, as Meltzer at Yahoo and others heard happened? Ken’s been known to take some pretty … “interesting” losses when put in a position of putting over young stars, but maybe he asked for too much this time? He took himself to the emergency room where he knew there’d be a record of the injury that the athletic commission would use to stop him from competing. He pulls out without breaching his contract and leaves them stranded with few options but pink hair?

I sparred with Seth Petruzelli and The guy is poewrful. He was King Of The Cag Champion- He beat Dan Severn and Almost knocked out Bob Sapp in Japan. Seth was on Ultimate Fighter and lost the final match for the season. He is a good Karate fighter who also was trained by Marcio Simas in Jiu Jitsu. I competed in Boxing and Kickboxing and worked with Seth. He Won the Fight with Kimbo and it was Legit and if he ever hit you… You would know how powerful he really is despite his “pink” hair.

without doubting seth’s ability or kimbo’s chin ask yourself this question. What were the odds in vegas of a seth petruzelli victory??? Kimbo Slice has plenty of money now, but say he could turn his $500,000 or more that he made for this fight times a boatload more from the loaded sports bettors out there. Kimbo looked stunned at best in this fight……he and the sportsbettors he made $$ for are all laughing their way to the bank.

He has tooth pics as legs he will never make it in mma. even gorillas have a spot to not them down, He swings wildly tank abit looked like a pile of shit they dragged in to fight.
